This book have me conflicted, and not because of the content.The story is a pretty generic Daddy/little, with a boy who is starting out on the kink and a Daddy that always wanted someone to pamper.It's sweet and funny, I loved how Avery is such an open little and makes friends easily along with accepting himself. Also seeing that him and Jace are two halves of a whole, one brings what the other needs.This isn't instant love but it is instant attraction.What irks me though is the countless grammatical errors and the lack of commas. I don't even mind the way the two perspectives flow together without being marked, it worked.But there are inconsistencies to the story, like with the garlic thing, Avery eats it once then says he doesn't like garlic stuff later, only to have Jace feed him garlic toast some time later.And I'm fairly certain the name of the coffee shop owner changed from start to finish.This is stuff beta readers and editors should have picked up on.I hope the next book will have less errors and let the reader enjoy the story which is presented instead of having to get caught up in flaws. I love age play romance and daddy/boy dynamics in general but I was not super impressed by the cover art on this one so I passed it by a couple of times. I know they say don’t judge a book by its cover, but that’s what covers are for. Books 2 and 3 in this series have much better cover art that I feel is in keeping with the story quality. All three of the books released so far are sweet, sexy, and low angst. Heavy feels are stressful and take me out of the escape of reading so I love it when authors can keep it light but still develop the story and characters enough to provide a satisfying experience.Amazon has a notation that the book has quality issues (specifically typos) and that is true, but I didn’t find it to be too distracting. Most of what I noticed where genuine typos, where an incorrect key has been struck, or speech to text errors, where the authors speech to text software has entered a homophone of the intended word. There was also a consistently missing comma before or after addressing titles. (For example, a sentence like, “Come here boy,” where there should be a comma before boy.) I find this much less distracting than actual grammatical errors would be. All of these problems could be fixed with a thorough read-through before publishing. I’m sure self-publishing a first book is an exciting and frustrating learning experience.tldr: A sweet age play romance with some typos that will not at all dissuade me from reading more by this author.
